Actress Rima Kallingal is quite popular in the Malayalam film industry. She made her acting debut in 2009 with the film ‘Ritu’. Over these years, Rima has done some notable roles that includes ‘Nidra’, ‘22 Female Kottayam’ and many others. The actress has confirmed about her next film titled ‘Arabikkadalinte Rani – The Metro Woman’ by sharing the film’s poster on her Instagram account. For those who don’t know, this movie revolves around a sales girl named P.K. Lalitha from Thripunithra, a die-hard fan of the ‘Metro Man’ and her wish to meet him. This movie is based on Kochi Metro. However, it is not yet known who’ll be playing the role of E. Sreedharan.
‘Arabikkadalinte Rani – The Metro Woman’ is directed by M. Padmakumar and S. Suresh Babu. The latter has also penned the script along with M.U. Praveen. While sharing the poster on Instagram Rima wrote, “Presenting to you P.K.Lathika, her life in the backdrop of Ernakulam turning into the metro city and the extraordinary journey she undertakes to meet her role model E.Sreedharan:) Excited to work with M.Padmakumar and Suresh Babu in this interesting tale of a Thripunithurakari. Talking about Rima Kallingal and her role in the film director M. Padmakumar said, “Rima’s efforts to see the character of the Metro man named M Madhavan in the film and the consequences will form the plot of the film that will take a look at the city of Kochi too. Rima’s character is a huge fan of the life as well as the achievements of the Metro Man. The time period from the inception of the Metro to the day of its inauguration will be covered in the film.
