South superstar Rajinikanth’s film Coolie was released in theatres on August 14th. Today marks 14 days since its release. The film received a lot of love from the audience at the time of its debut. However, from day six onwards, the movie began showing lower numbers. Over the weekend, on days 10 and 11, the collections saw a jump, earning Rs 10.5 crore and Rs 11.35 crore, respectively. But from day 12, Coolie witnessed a drastic fall, indicating a slowdown at the box office. The collection was only around Rs 3 crore on each of the next two days.
However, with the arrival of the Ganesh Chaturthi holiday, the film saw a 23.39% increase in earnings, collecting Rs 4.50 crore on day 14, i.e. Wednesday.
Rajinikanth-starrer Coolie is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The budget of Coolie is said to be Rs 350 crore, with Rajinikanth reportedly charging Rs 200 crore for his role. Apart from Rajinikanth, the film also features special cameos by Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, and Aamir Khan.
On the opening day, Coolie earned Rs 65 crore. Now, the initial figures for Wednesday are in. According to the early report by Sacnilk, Coolie earned Rs 4.50 crore on its 14th day. On the day of Ganesh Chaturthi, August 27, 2025, the film received an “extra push” due to the holiday, with trade analysts noting a significant bump in collections. With this, the film’s total collection at the Indian box office has reached Rs 268.75 crore.

As of Day 14 since Coolie’s global release on 14 August 2025, here’s the latest on its worldwide box office collection. Some websites claim, Coolie has earned Rs 488 crore, while trade experts estimated Rs 525 crore collection.
Rajinikanth’s Coolie faced tough competition from Hrithik Roshan’s War 2 but maintained its lead at the box office. War 2‘s collection on Ganesh Chaturthi remained the same as the previous days. Though trade experts expected an increase in numbers, the film earned only Rs 2.50 crore on Day 14, lower than Day 13, which stood at Rs 2.75 crore.
