Rajinikanth’s much-awaited Coolie hit the silver screens on August 14. Despite a stiff competition from Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s War 2, the action thriller opened to a blockbuster response. The film is in its third week now at the box office. According to Sacnilk, The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial has crossed the Rs 275 crore mark.
On its seventeenth day, Coolie collected approximately Rs 2.65 crore. The film raked in an impressive Rs 229.65 crore in its first week, and Rs 41.85 crore in its second week across all languages, with Tamil contributing the maximum Rs 24.2 crore, followed by Hindi at Rs 9.4 crore, Telugu at Rs 7.55 crore and Kannada at Rs 70 lakh.
Going by the latest figure, Rajinikanth’s mafia drama has now officially hit the Rs 275 crore milestone, reaching an estimated Rs 275.85 crore.

Bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran’s Sun Pictures and helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie boasts an ensemble star cast including Nagarjuna, Rachita Ram, Shruti Haasan, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles. It also features Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, making his much-awaited Tamil debut, while Pooja Hegde in a special cameo appearance.
With positive world-of-mouth, solid entertainment and Rajinikanth’s powerful screen-presence, Coolie continues to shatter records at the box office.
