Coolie vs War 2 Box Office Collection Day 14: It has been exactly two weeks since the release of two high-budget movies — War 2 and Coolie. Both movies are filled with high-octane action stunts and power-packed performances. Since both films were released on the same day, a continuous battle has been going on in terms of box office collections. However, as per industry tracker Sacnilk, Coolie has been leading the race with a total collection of Rs 269 crore, whereas War 2 stands at Rs 229 crore so far.
Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie is headlined by Rajinikanth and features Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, and Soubin Shahir in key roles. Made for Rs 400 crore, Coolie opened with Rs 65 crore, which was the biggest Tamil opener.
On the other hand, War 2 is helmed by Ayan Mukerji and features Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani. War 2 box office collection on day 1 was Rs 52 crore, making it the lowest opener of the YRF Spy Universe.
Both films had a pan-India release. While Coolie was released in four languages including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada, War 2 was released in three languages – Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
While Rajinikanth’s movie became a much-talked-about film and left War 2 behind in the first week, the movie earned Rs 229.65 crore, whereas War 2 week 1 collection stood at Rs 204 crore.
Now, coming to War 2 box office collection day 14, the movie has minted Rs 2.5 crore, whereas Coolie is leading with Rs 4.85 crore. It was anticipated that both films would see an increase in earnings on day 14 because of the Ganesh Chaturthi holiday. However, only Coolie enjoyed the benefit, while War 2 failed to make the most of the holiday.
