Dara Singh’s wife Surjit Kaur Randhawa passes away

Mumbai, Mar 22: Late wrestler-turned-actor Dara Singh’s wife Surjit Kaur Randhawa today passed away here after a long battle with cancer. She was 72. (Also Read: ‘Rockford Files’ actor Joe Santos passes away at 84 )

“Singh’s wife passed away this morning. She had cancer and fought it for nine years,” a statement issued here on behalf of his son Vindu Dara Singh said. Surjit was Singh’s second wife and mother of actor Vindu. The last rites will be performed at 6 PM this evening at Juhu crematorium in suburban Mumbai. The 83-year-old wrestler-actor had passed away in 2012 following a cardiac arrest.
