At this year’s Met Gala Deepika wore a stunning strapless pink coloured gown by Zac Posen and resembled a life-size Barbie doll.

She opted for a retro hairdo and teamed it up with a gorgeous embellished headband. She accessorised her outfit with a pair of pink diamond earrings and a statement cuff. The stunner rounded off her look with an oxblood lip colour and pink smokey eyes.

On the professional front, Deepika is currently occupied with the shooting of her next film ChhapaakThe film also stars Vikrant Massey who plays the role of Deepika’s husband.

Chhapaak is based on the story of an acid-attack survivor, Laxmi, who was attacked at the age of 16 by a 32-year-old man who stalked her and then threw acid at her after she rejected his advances.

Earlier, Laxmi reacted to Deepika’s first look from the film and said, “I was happy to see Deepika’s first look from the film. I was feeling good that a celebrity has come in that look.” Laxmi further added, “A lot of make-up artistes changed a natural face to acid distorted face. And I felt, see, they are finding beauty in an acid-burnt face”.

Directed by Meghna Gulzar, Chhapaak is slated to release on January 10, 2020. Chhapaak will be clashing with Ajay Devgn starrer Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior at the Box Office.
