After what seemed like forever, the makers of Padmaavat (earlier titled Padmavati) finally announced its release date. The film is slated to release on January 25 this year. The film has acquired a U/A certificate from the Censor Board Of Film Certification and now it is cleared to release on its desired date. There are many protests against the film still, with Rajasthan having banned the film from release in the state. However, with the film now close to its release, the makers are now restarting their promotions in order to gear up. The makers of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali magnum opus have dropped upon us a new poster of the film, confirming the change in the name of the film, from Padmavati, to Padmaavat. The change was suggested by the censor board in order to get the clearance to release. The makers have gone ahead with it and now will be releasing the film under the name Padmaavat, with its new poster finally being released. Check it out below.
