It was only on January 14 that the makers of Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh’s Padmaavat announced the official release date of the film which was January 25. And, now, we hear that the will is preponed by a day. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat is all set to release on January 24 instead of January 25. This development was confirmed by the owner of G-7 multiplex Manoj Desai. While talking to Mid-day, Desai said, “While Padman releases on January 25, Padmaavat will release the night before. The distributors of Padmaavat are likely to reimburse the film that is scheduled for the 9.30 pm show that day and screen the magnum opus instead. There will be only one paid preview. This will happen not just in my theatres but across India.”Also Read - Deepika Padukone Crashes In Hubby Ranveer Singh's Chat With Fans, Asks 'When are you coming home?'
We are glad that the much-delayed film will finally hit screens after its share of controversies. Despite getting a clearance from the CBFC, the film is banned in various states in the country like Rajasthan, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. Well, we hope these states too lift the ban after hearing positive things about the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film. The producers of Padmaavat also made a few clarifications to end controversies. They recently stated the film is based on the epic Padmavat by Sufi poet Malik Muhammad Jayasi which is a work of fiction. The makers of Padmaavat also clarified that the film does not have a dream sequence between Alauddin Khilji and Rani Padmavati. The makers also stated that they have made the film as an ode to the famed valour, legacy and courage of Rajputs. Also Read - Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh Buy Lavish Holiday Home In Alibaug?
