Devara box office collection day 7: Jr NTR-Jahnvi Kapoor starrer sinks further, fails to beat Animal, RRR, Jawan, Pathan, Baahubali 2, Kalki 2898 AD in first week

Featuring Jr NTR alongside Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, Devara Part 1 has not managed to surpass the legendary blockbusters films. Take a look at the detailed report.

Starring Jr NTR, ‘Devara Part 1’ made a spectacular debut in theaters on September 27. Directed by Koratala Siva, this action-packed drama opened with an impressive Rs 142 crore gross worldwide, including Rs 82.5 crore net in India. Over its first weekend, the film soared to a remarkable Rs 160 crore at the domestic box office and amassed an astounding Rs 250 crore globally.

However, as the weekdays rolled in, the film experienced a significant drop in its box office collections. In its first six days, this action-packed thriller has earned Rs 208 crore in India, and early estimates suggest that it will wrap up its opening week with net domestic earnings around Rs 220 crore. When compared to other recent blockbusters, these numbers are relatively modest.

SS Rajamouli’s 2017 blockbuster, Baahubali 2, set the bar high by raking in an impressive Rs 540 crore in its first week in India. Similarly, Jr NTR’s earlier release, RRR, also directed by Rajamouli and featuring Ram Charan, garnered Rs 479 crore at the domestic box office during its opening week in 2022.

Last year, Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal and Shah Rukh Khan’s “Jawan” followed suit, collecting Rs 338 crore and Rs 390 crore, respectively, in their first weeks. Earlier this year, the star-studded “Kalki 2898 AD,” featuring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan, achieved Rs 415 crore net in its opening week in India.

About Devara Part 1

Returning to Devara Part 1, the film features Janhvi Kapoor as the leading lady and Saif Ali Khan as the formidable antagonist, with a sequel already in the pipeline. However, fans will need to be patient, as Jr NTR is set to shift his focus to his next project with Prashanth Neel, tentatively titled “NTR 31” or “NTR Neel,” which is scheduled for release on January 9, 2026.
