Ever since the Indian cinema lost its most beloved icon, Dharmendra, the entire fraternity has been engulfed in deep sorrow and grief. Known for his timeless charm, warmth, and unforgettable roles, Dharmendra, aka the “He-Man” of Bollywood, defined an era of cinema. As the industry continues to mourn, the void left by the star remains irreplaceable. To honour his life, his wife, Hema Malini, and daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol have reportedly arranged a second remembrance gathering, but this time it will be in Delhi.
Dharmendra passed away on 24th November 2025 at the age of 89 after battling a prolonged illness. His demise marked the end of an era, and tributes from fellow stars and fans alike reflected the depth of his legacy. The first prayer meet, held in Bandra, Mumbai, on November 27, witnessed the presence of some of the biggest icons of Hindi cinema. Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, and many others attended the ceremony titled Celebration of Life. This prayer meet was arranged by his sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, along with other family members.
The event concluded with a musical remembrance led by Sonu Nigam, who honoured Dharmendra with some of his most beloved classics including Aa Ja Jaane Wale, Rahe Na Rahe Hum, Aaj Mausam Bada Beimaan Hai, and Apne Toh Apne Hote Hain.
Now, as per the report, a second memorial hosted by Hema Malini and her daughters will take place on December 11, 2025, at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre, Janpath, New Delhi, between 4 PM and 6 PM IST. Before this, Hema Malini also organised a Gita Paath at her Mumbai residence in remembrance of her late husband, where celebrities like Mahima Chaudhary, Sunita Ahuja, Fardeen Khan, etc came in attendance.
Besides this, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol also celebrated Dharmendra’s 90th birth anniversary on December 8 with fans at the family farmhouse.
With the Delhi prayer meet, the family hopes to give admirers a chance once more to come together and remember a legend, not just the actor they loved on screen, but the man they respected beyond it.
