Mumbai, Dec 7: Veteran actor Dilip Kumar was admitted to a private hospital on Tuesday after complained of a sudden swelling in his right leg. 93-year old Dilip Kumar was rushed to Mumbai’s Leelavati Hospital after his wife Saira Bano noticed swelling in his right leg. Dilip Kumar, whose real name is Muhammed Yusuf Khan, will celebrate his 94th birthday on December 11. Dilip Kumar is currently under observation and his condition is stable. “I was anyway planning to take him (Dilip Kumar) for a routine check-up, but the swelling alarmed me. He was also complaining of cold and cough. I don’t ignore anything even remotely suspicious when it comes to Dilip saab’s health. The doctors are examining him; he’s under observation,” Saira Bano was quoted as saying by Times of India. Dilip Kumar might get discharged from hospital before his 94th birthday on Sunday this week. “Inshallah, I will take him home before his birthday on Sunday,” Saira Bano said. Dilip Kumar has been hospitalised quite a few times over the last few years, following major and minor ailments. Dilip Kumar was hospitalised in April this year after he suffered high fever and nausea. The actor was discharged after five days. Dilip Kumar was last seen in the film “Qila” in 1998. He was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994 and Padma Vibhushan in 2015.
