Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra are gearing up for the release of their upcoming film ‘Amar Singh Chamkila.’ Ahead of the release, Diljit shared several pictures of his character from the sets, creating more excitement among fans. The movie is set to hit the OTT giant Netflix on April 12, 2024. The film is helmed by Imtiaz Ali and has created massive hype and excitement among fans.
Taking to Instagram, Diljit shared several pictures of him as Amar Singh Chamkila. The initial image depicts him seated on the street with a cup of tea nearby. Subsequently, he is captured mid-action lifting his musical instrument in the following picture. Lastly, there’s a shot of him seated amidst a lush green field, wearing a smile and holding a musical instrument.

The next picture features Parineeti Chopra, and it looks like a cute moment where Diljit is standing next to Parineeti as she sits inside a car. Another picture features Diljit sitting between a lot of men. Finally, in the last photo, the actor looks quite different. Sharing these pictures, the singer and actor wrote, ‘CHAMKILA 12th April.’
The movie is based on Amar Singh Chamkila, a singer from Punjab, who was shot to his death because of his brash lyrics. Talking about the film, Diljit during an interview with news agency PTI said, “I had to unlearn things and start from zero. It’s a plus point in the life of an artist to do this. It’s tough to start from zero because you often get lost in your personality, and you feel this is who you are (but) the best thing about an actor’s job is that you get the opportunity to start from zero, and I look at this as an opportunity.”
