Dipika Kakar is one of the strongest contestants on the ongoing Celebrity MasterChef. The cooking show is hosted by director and choreographer Farah Khan and the jury panels is inclusive of celebrity chefs Ranveer Brar and Vikas Khanna. ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ actress has called it quits with the show after her brief stint.
In an upcoming episode, Dipika Kakar’s husband and actor Shoaib Ibrahim comes to surprise her and help her in the cooking battle. If reports are to be believed, the actress has already left the show and will not be there for the Holi special episode.
Dipika Kakar has impressed not just the audience but the judges too with her cooking skills. Speculations are rife that due to certain health issues – a shoulder injury- the actress had to leave the show. However, no official conformation statement has been issued by Dipika’s team or by the makers of the show.
In a vlog shared by Shoaib Ibrahim on his YouTube channel, the couple addressed a sever injury where Kakar was seen wearing a shoulder sling. “Meri halat bahut buri thi. There’s a muscle injury around my shoulder and upper arm. Due to my recent hectic schedule, the pain escalated,” the actress confessed in the video. Ibrahim laughingly added that her performance was going really well and how this could be the “nazar” effect, “Dipika ko nazar bhi lag sakti hai. Last week, her time in Celebrity MasterChef went well. She won the first immunity pin by recreating Vikas Khanna’s ‘bhramand’. It was quite exciting.”
Sharing her health update they added that Dipika did an MRI, CT scan where the doctor informed her about some previous injury that has now exacerbated. However, while she has been asked to take good rest, but the doctor has not particularly asked her to stop shooting, yet needs to keep her hand as much still as possible.
After Dipika Kakar’s exit the show will be left with nine contestants – Gaurav Khanna, Nikki Tamboli, Tejasswi Prakash, Archana Gautam, Usha Nadkarni, Rajiv Adatia, Kabita Singh, Faisal Shaikh, and Ayesha Jhulka.
Dipika Kakar and Tejasswi Prakash were seen sharing a close bond on the show. It was after almost five years hiatus that Kakar was seen back on the television after her marriage. According to a report by Business Standard, the TV actress earned around Rs2.3 lakhs per episode of Celebrity MasterChef and her net worth, combined with her husband, estimates around Rs 35-40 crores.
