Finally, the most awaited wedding of the Indian television industry is all set to take place! Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actress Divyanka Tripathi is going to tie the knot with her co-star Vivek Dahiya on July 8, 2016, in Bhopal. We had told you about it, and now we have all the dope on the wedding! The lovebirds got engaged on January 15, 2015, in a hush-hush ceremony in Chandigarh and since then ‘Divek’ fans were speculating about their wedding date. Soon, the actress herself shared an article link on her Twitter handle and confirmed her wedding news to all her fans! As we all know, Divyanka and Vivek met on the sets of Balaji Telefilms’ popular show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and since then have had a strong bond. The much in love couple became good friends and soon decided to take their relationship to the next level.
Divyanka was quoted by Aaj Tak show Saas Bahu Aur Betiyaan as saying that her mom Neelam Tripathi frequented the sets of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and kept asking everyone to find a good match for her darling daughter. The actress said, “One of the people associated with the show who felt that we (Vivek and her) had many common traits – we don’t party, drink, smoke – introduced us to each other.” ALSO READ: REVEALED! The bride-to-be was also quoted by The Times of India as saying, “There was no courtship as we were looking at the relationship culminating into marriage. Now, we are madly in love with each other.”
Vivek was also quoted by TOI, saying that they are so busy that they themselves won’t be able to follow their wedding properly! He further added, “Our marriage is like a shoot.” ALS
“I used to call her ‘Dyu’ before the engagement because I didn’t want her name to be seen by others. We wanted to keep it discreet. Now, I call her ‘DIV’. She calls me ‘VIV’. So, it’s like Div and Viv,” revealed Vivek.
Vivek told Spotboye said that his wedding costume will be designed by Tisa, a designer based in Vile Parle, Mumbai. “Divyanka and I would try to be colour coordinated. I am letting her decide on the colours, I’ll match mine with a pocket square or some other accessories,” he said.
According to reports, the duo is planning to have a Hindu traditional wedding. The lovebirds will also host a grand reception in Mumbai soon after their wedding for their close friends.
For everyone who wanted to know about Divyanka and Vivek’s wedding, here’s all you need to know about the most awaited wedding:
1. Divyanka and Vivek will have a big fat traditional Indian wedding, with all the rituals including sangeet, mehendi, pheras and the reception.
2. The wedding ceremony will be held in Divyanka’s hometown Bhopal and the reception will take place at Vivek’s hometown Chandigarh.
3. The baraat and the groom will reach Bhopal on July 7; and both families will enjoy the sangeet function which will be held on the same day.
4. Soon after that on July 8 the couple will take the saat pheras and get married!
5. Their wedding will be a private affair with only close friends and family in attendance.
6. The lovebirds will also organise a lavish reception in Mumbai soon after their wedding for their close friends.
7. In an exclusive interview with TimesofIndia.com, Vivek Dahiya said he will be wearing a sherwani on his D-day.
8. Vivek has planned something for his honeymoon and wants to keep give a surprise to his ladylove.
