That famous South Indian actor, Dulquer Salmaan is all set to make his debut in Bollywood with the film Karwaan is a known fact. The actor started shooting earlier this month along with versatile actor, Irrfan Khan, and Youtube sensation, Mithila Palkar, in Ooty. While we had been thinking that Mithila would be essaying the love interest of the South Indian heart throb, turns out that we were wrong. The actress made her Bollywood debut with the horror movie, Raaz:Reboot and was recently the lead actor in the Paresh Rawal starrer comic film, GIL. She is also quite an established actor in the Telugu and Kannada film industry. She is reportedly expected to fly to Kochi on Thursday where the team is currently shooting. A source was quoted by Pune Mirror as saying, “Kriti’s role is an extended cameo and will appear at an important juncture in the film. She plays Dulquer’s love interest and will be flying to Kochi on Thursday to start shooting. Kriti is comfortable with Telugu and Kannada but her character in this film is required to speak a little Malayalam so there will be a trainer on the set to help her out. Helmed by Akarsh Khurana and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, the film is set to release next year. The film is based on a road trip undertaken by two friends (Dulquer and Irrfan) that begins in Ooty. The script of the movie has been co-written by Akarsh and Hussain Dalal, the dialogue writer for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and 2 States, who will also be a part of the forth coming comedy show on TV, The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, which will be judged by Akshay Kumar.
