Opening to Parineeti’s character, Sandeep, offering Arjun’s character, Pinky, any amount of money just to leave Delhi, the trailer goes on to reveal her criminal side and his spy avatar. On reaching the toll, Pinky learns the Sandeep is running away after committing a murder. Sandeep escapes Pinky’s wrath by confessing that is pregnant and things are not how they seem. They reach the Indo-Nepal border and what follows is a series of colourful hillside celebrations, energetic dance performances opening to a fresh day, Neena Gupta’s touch of humour and back to Pinky’s quest for truth while taking care of a pregnant Sandeep. While Parineeti plays a corporate employee, Arjun essays the role of a police officer who helps her to escape to Nepal. Keeping all the dots unconnected, the trailer does not spill any beans on the thriller till the end and fans are sure to be left on the edge. Having kept fans on the hook since July 2017, when they first announced their upcoming gritty entertainer helmed by Dibakar Banerjee, Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor finally dropped the first posters with the release date of Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar on Tuesday, after 3 years. Initially slated to hit the cinema screens on August 3, 2018, the movie was then postponed to a March 1, 2019 release but in vain.
When the movie went on floors in Delhi during November 2017, the smog condition sent the schedule haywire. The crew couldn’t shoot for at least two days due to the bad visibility.
