Entertainment News Today, March 20: Among many Indian students who were stuck at various parts of the world as Indian government barred the entry of overseas citizens of India from March 13, the daughter of actor and singer Suchitra Krishnamoorthi had a tough time. Kaveri Kapur, who was studying at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, was stuck in the US for over six days trying to get a flight back to India where her mother was waiting with bated breath. In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Suchitra opened up on how she spent all these days thinking about her child and the other students who are still stuck abroad amid the coronavirus pandemic. Suchitra mentioned that Kaveri’s college had shutdown on March 10 and she had been living with family-friends in Boston. The veteran singer added that the students were asked to vacate their dormitories 10 days back itself but there was no immediate way of return to India. She explained, “She was stuck for just six days, but it felt like a year. But the government has been amazingly supportive. We constantly got responses to all our queries. Suchitra went on to say that even though Kaveri is doing absolutely fine and she was also tested at the airport, her 19-year-old daughter is taking due precautionary measures and has gone under self-quarantine. The singer said everyone at the authority – airport officials, doctors, and security cooperated and helped all. Suchitra revealed that her daughter praised everyone thoroughly and said, ‘Hats Off to the way things are being handled’.

The other celeb-kids who have returned home are Irrfan Khan’s son Babil who was also stuck in London, Kajol’s daughter Nysa Devgn who was studying in Singapore and Khushi Kapoor who was in the US to learn acting.
