Entertainment News Today, March 27: It was in 2016 that both Akshay Kumar and director Neeraj Pandey had announced their movie titled Crack. However, no news of the film came out later and it went out of the buzz. Pandey spoke about the film and what made him put it on a backburner in his latest interaction with news daily. He also commented on the rumours of falling out with Akshay with whom he had given hit films – Special 26 and Baby.  Also Read - Akshay Kumar-Aanand L Rai's BTS Picture From The Sets of Raksha Bandhan is Simply Unmissable | See Viral Pic

As reported by Mumbai Mirror, Pandey put a hold on Crack because he was not happy with the script of the film. The director confirmed the same and said the film didn’t go on hold because of any alleged rift with Akshay but he simply didn’t feel like going ahead with it when he himself wasn’t happy with the script in the first place. Pandey was quoted saying, “It’s on the back-burner with no immediate plans of revival. I was not happy with the script, but if I manage to crack something good in the future, I might (revive it).” Addressing the claims of falling apart with Akshay, Pandey said he is currently busy with Chanakya that features Ajay Devgn and Akshay is busy with other projects at hand. He added that both he and Akshay have individual responsibilities towards the audience and they don’t want to team up for something just for the sake of it. The producer of films like MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Pandey said, “There has been no fall-out with Akshay, so, why the question of a reunion? I am moving on with Chanakya and he is doing other films. It’s a great responsibility for both of us and we have to wait for the right project.”

Meanwhile, Akshay has got as many as six films in the pipeline. He is gearing up for the release of Sooryavanshi which will hit the screens as soon as the normalcy returns after the lockdown in the country. He then has Laxmmi Bomb as the big Eid release. Akshay is bringing the story of celebrated warrior Prithviraj Chauhan alongside Manushi Chhillar in Prithviraj on Diwali. He also has Bell Bottom and Bachchan Pandey after which he will hit the screens with Atrangi Re alongside Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush.
