Rumours of Bollywood actress Sangeeta Bijlani playing a cameo on Star Plus’ much-celebrated show Ishqbaaaz have been doing the rounds on the internet. An online entertainment reported that the actress had been approached for the project and she is considering it. And in a statement to Bollywood Life, the lead actress of the show Surbhi Chandna said, “Yes, even I am hearing the rumours but nothing has been informed to us. So, I cannot confirm the speculations. But if she is really on board, it is a huge thing for us. We will be damn excited.”
While fans of Sangeeta Bijlani rejoiced about this development, producer Gul Khan has reacted to these rumours. When we contacted Gul Khan, she told India.com, “NO. There is no Sangeeta Bijlani in Ishqbaaaz.” Looks like the fans of the Tridev actress will have to wait a little longer to see her back on small screen. On asking Gul Khan, if there’s someone else who’s roped in for the show if not the Tridev actress, Gul said, “Yeah! There will soon be a new entry on the show within a week.” Wow! Isn’t that an exciting news? Though there’s no Sangeeta in Ishqbaaaz, the producer has promised her audience with high intense drama as there’s some new face to enter into the show to spice it up. As per the reports, the actress was to play a cameo on the show. Sangeeta, who started her Bollywood career with a lead role in Qatil (1988) and shot to fame with the multi-starrer blockbuster action film Tridev, was to essay the character of a glamorous businesswoman. Her entry into the show was to bring problems for the Oberoi’s family and also to rake up Anika’s (essayed by Surbhi Chandna) past, creating problems between Shivaay (essayed by Nakuul Mehta) Anika as the actress will discover that Shivaay has killed her parents and therefore, their married life will suffer.
