The Mumbai premiere of Homebound, India official entry to the 2026 Oscars, saw industry’s biggest names in attendance, but Janhvi Kapoor managed to stole the limelight with the heartfelt gesture at the event.

Beyond her stunning appearance at the red carpet, Janhvi Kapoor was also spotted posing for pictures with boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya’s family. The actress was seen standing alongside Shikhar’s parents and his grandfather, veteran politician and former Home Affairs Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde. The rare public appearance instantly caught attention online, with fans appreciating her bond with Shikhar’s family.

Janhvi Kapoor’s sweet gesture win netizens’ hearts. One user commented, “Perfect bahu,” another commented, “She looks so stunning, god bless.” The night carried another heart touching sentiment as she wore her late mother Sridevi’s royal blue and black pashmina saree. The saree, was once worn by Sridevi at Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s wedding reception.

The premiere was a star-studded night with Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Hrithik Roshan, Farah Khan, Vicky Kaushal and many other A-listers walking the carpet. Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan and co-produced by Karan Johar, Homebound stars Ishaan Khatter, Janhvi Kapoor and Vishal Jethwa.
