Farah Khan, known for fiercely guarding her private life, rarely posts pictures with her family. However, on on her anniversary, she surprised fans with a beautiful montage of photos featuring her husband, Shirish Kunder.

The reel showcased a streak of their pictures, set to Jaane Kyun from Dostana. It featured glimpses of tender moments, including the two lovingly gazing into one another’s eyes beside their children’s crib, followed by glimpses of their wedding ceremony attended by Shah Rukh Khan. Another frame showed a picture-perfect family portrait with their children posing together.

The line that stole everyone’s attention

However, besides their heartwarming pictures, it was the caption that Farah wrote that caught everyone’s attention. She wrote, “21 yrs ago sm1 (who had not bn invited to our wedding) passed a bitchy comment that ‘I’ll attend her next one’… sorry pal, this one’s going ok till now. Happy anniversary @shirishkunder… we may not hold hands in public (for that ul have to come out with me), but it’s u who holds our family together… n I love u… have I embarrassed you enough?”

Celebrities including Chunky Panday, Vaibhavi Merchant, and Rajkummar Rao showered love on the post, with fans calling them the “best jodi.”

Farah on keeping her marriage private

This is not the first time Farah Khan has addressed the mockery she faced for her marriage with Shirish Kunder. Earlier, in an interview with Sania Mirza on Serving It Up with Sania, Farah recalled how some in the industry overlooked Shirish because he was not as successful as her. She said,

“We know we are secure in our marriage, and we don’t need to hold hands on the red carpet. Sometimes, I feel that the more people are holding hands on the red carpet, something is brewing.”

Farah and Shirish first met during the editing of Main Hoon Na, married in 2004, and became parents to triplets Diva, Anya and Czar, born via IVF in 2008.
