Rajesh’s wife Nisha has accused the director of forgery and domestic violence

The Indian filmmaker Rajesh Mapuskar who made his debut with ‘Ferrari Ki Sawaari’ was arrested on Tuesday, November 3 at 11pm on charges of domestic violence. Rajesh’s wife Nisha has accused the director of forgery under Indian Penal Code Act 465, 468 and 471 and domestic violence under IPC Act 498 A, reports Mumbai Mirror. The filmmaker has also been an assistant on ‘Munna Bhai’ series and ‘3 Idiots’.

Senior police inspector, Avinash Sawant of the Dindoshi Police Station told the leading daily, “Rajesh Mapuskar has been arrested, produced before the court and remanded into judicial custody.” Rajesh’s wife Nisha who lives in a 5-BHK apartment in Florencia Amritvan, Goregaon says she has no money for maintenance. Her husband had been paying Rs. 65,000 every month. Rajesh has not been paying the society bills since several months. Nisha is living in the apartment with her two sons Utsav and Zeal who is 17-year-old and 9-year-old respectively. (ALSO READ: Domestic violence case: Somnath Bharti sent to jail on October 5)

Nisha also revealed that in the year 2010 she was forcibly admitted to Masina Hospital for three months. Rajesh had claimed that she was mentally unstable. The 49-year-old Nisha told the daily, “While I was sedated, Rajesh was in an extramarital affair with Maheep Dhillon, the wife of Anil Naidu, President, Lintas Productions. Maheep had assisted him on ‘Ferrari Ki Sawaari’. He forged my signature and got me admitted into Masina. I was given 15 shocks though 12 is the maximum without my consent under the supervision of Dr. Machiswala, who broke doctor-patient confidentiality agreements by discussing my condition with the media claiming that I was mentally unstable. Nisha is fighting not just the divorce case but even for the custody of her children. Both the sons don’t wish to stay with their father and with the lady with whom he is having an extra-marital affair. Nisha has hardly received Rs. 5,000 for the monthly expense. Before getting hitched to Rajesh, Nisha had a lavished lifestyle. Nisha added, “I married him and moved with him into a chawl because I was in love with him. We were happy living off his modest income. I never disturbed him on the sets of any of his films. My kids and I have been living off the gold I got when I was married, which is sold off now.
