Mumbai Police registered a case against actor Shahbaz Khan for allegedly molesting a girl. The case was filed at the Oshiwara Police Station, Mumbai, on Thursday. News agency ANI broke the report and posted a tweet adding that further investigation in the case is underway. The case has been registered under IPC section 354 which amounts to criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty, and section 509 which involves word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman. Shahbaz Khan is a prominent face on Indian television. He has also acted in many Hindi films of the ’90s, majorly playing the role of a villain. His most prominent TV outing remained Betaal Pachisi in which he played the role of Betaal. His other notable works include Chandrakanta, Yug, The Great Maratha, The Sword of Tipu Sultan and Dastaan-E-Mohabbat Salim Anarkali among others. Shahbaz is the son of Padmabhushan Ustad Amir Khan, who is considered one of the most celebrated Indian classical vocalists and the founder of the Indore Gharana.
