After a massive fire claimed 14 persons in Mumbai’s Kamala Mills compound, a major fire broke out at the Cinevista Studio in Mumbai’s Kanjurmarg area around 8 pm on (Saturday evening) January 6, 2018. According to a report in a portal, eight fire engines were rushed to the spot immediately and an ambulance was also present at the site. There were no injuries or casualties; the people have been evacuated from the studio to safer places. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) disaster officials too said, “As per complainant, no one has been trapped.” Reportedly, it was a level three fire, but now the situation is under control. Sony TV’s upcoming show Jennifer Winget starrer Bepanhaa and currently-running show – Zayed Khan, Nikita Dutta, Vatsal Seth starrer Haasil were being shot when the fire broke out. TV actors Jennifer Winget, Harshad Chopra, Sehban Azim and Namrata Dubey were shooting at the spot. According to the report, fire emerged due to short circuit from a generator in the studio. In a statement to, a source shared, “The disaster happened at about 8 pm and fire engines were summoned immediately. Six fire engines and four water tankers reportedly doused the fire. Luckily, no one has been injured but a lot of property has been damaged. It seems like a pretty bad situation as of now.” Watch this space for further updates.
