Winter might have finally come, but not for long. David Benioff and Dan Weiss plan to wrap up the epic fantasy saga Game of Thrones within 13 episodes after GOT Season 6 is finished, which will start airing on 24th April. These 13 episodes of Game of Thrones will be divided in two seasons; 7 episodes in season 7 and 6 episodes in final season 8, compared to the typical length of 10 episodes per season. This might be sad news for GOT fans, however, this deviation does indicate a much stronger and fast paced plot line. This announcement is still not set in stone though; David Benioff and Dan Weiss are yet to talk with HBO to confirm their plans, and being the most unpredictable show that it is, who knows what turn it might take. Also Read - House Of The Dragon Teaser Out: Game of Thrones Spin-Off Is All About Fire, Dragons, Blood

This season there is not a weak episode. We had great directors who knew what they were doing, paired with excellent [directors of photography]. We thought at the script stage it might be our strongest season. Then the episodes came in better than we hoped. We’re always reluctant to say it’s ‘the best season yet’ because so much of that is in the eyes of the beholder. And Dan and I are so close to it that it’s impossible to be unbiased. But that’s my sense – watching them all together now, this is the best one we’ve done.” With less than a week to go for Season 6 premiere now, and trailers in our hands, Chills have come far before any winter that we know.(ALSO READ: ROFL!
