Gangster Ravi Pujari did NOT threaten Arijit Singh, says police
Reportedly, the “Suno na sangemarmar” hitmaker was asked to give Rs.5 crore
It was reported yesterday that popular Hindi film singer Arijit Singh claimed he received an extortion call from gangster Ravi Pujari, who demanded a “ridiculous amount of money.” According to a report in TOI, the officials of Oshiwara police station, Mumbai, have now said that since Singh has not lodged an official complaint as yet, they have put the matter on record by making a diary entry. “Singh said he was not threatened,” said a pilice officer.
Reportedly, the “Suno na sangemarmar” hitmaker was asked to give Rs.5 crore. However, without giving any figure, Arijit confirmed the matter via an official statement to the media. Read: Singer Arijit Singh threatened by gangster Ravi Pujari
In the statement, he narrated: “I generally don’t answer to unknown numbers. That day when Ravi Pujari called my phone was off and he called my manager. He told me he wants to talk to me and made a conference call. By then, I got to know from him that he was asking a ridiculous amount of money. ”But over the phone, he was talking like a gentleman and asked me if I can sing songs for him and told me to be in touch.”
