In the glitzy and glamorous world of showbiz, controversies and speculation often travel faster than light. One such example is a fresh controversy that quickly took centre stage. Just after Bigg Boss 19 concluded and Gaurav Khanna emerged as the winner, his former Anupamaa co-star Nidhi Shah liked a picture, a simple action that unexpectedly sparked massive chatter. But what began as an innocent like soon spiraled into a full-blown controversy, dragging Nidhi into unexpected dating accusations and social-media drama.
Nidhi Shah, who played Kinjal in Rajan Shahi’s hit series Anupamaa, found herself at the centre of speculation after she liked a post that criticised Gaurav Khanna’s Bigg Boss 19 win. As soon as she liked the post, fans took notice, with one accusing her of being romantically involved with Khanna during their time on the show. The fan wrote, “They had an affair during Anupamaa.”
Reacting to the comment, Nidhi dismissed all allegations. She replied, “Yaa you know better,” adding a few laughing emojis
Adding more fuel to the conversation, after winning Bigg Boss 19, many posts questioning whether Gaurav was a deserving winner have been doing the rounds. Even first runner-up Farrhrana Bhatt recently claimed that other contestants deserved the trophy more than Khanna. She said that participants like Amaal Mallik and Abhishek Bajaj made a greater impact on the show.
She added, “Others were there too, Amaal, Tanya, Pranit, they contributed to a great extent. More than GK, Kalpu Kaka (the tree Tanya used to talk to) had a contribution. Even in his journey video, more than him, Baseer and Abhishek were visible. Gaurav didn’t even do 20% of what Abhishek did in Bigg Boss 19. So I feel, in terms of contribution, he hasn’t done something wow. But I congratulate him for winning the trophy of Farrhana Bhatt’s season.”
Gaurav emerged as the winner on December 7, followed by Farrhana Bhatt, Pranit More, Tanya Mittal and Amaal Mallik. He also took home Rs 50 lakh as prize money.
