Star Plus refused to air comedian Shyam Rangeela’s ‘Narendra Modi (Prime Minister) Mimicry’ act on Akshay Kumar‘s ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’ because the channel feared that it will offend some people and they might protest against them. So, Shyam was asked to re-record his act without mimicking Modi and not even Rahul Gandhi for that matter. So, Shyam performed a new act but the comedian was not paid the remuneration by the channel but was eliminated from the show two episodes after they aired his new act. Well, this is not the first time that a media house has refused to air his Modi mimic act. Earlier this year, Radio Mirchi had scrapped the ‘Mitron’ segment as it was opposed by senior Bharatiya Janata Party leaders. The rumours that Bigg Boss 11 contestant Priyank Sharma has parted ways with girlfriend Divya Agarwal have been doing the rounds on the internet. A leading online portal too quoted a source as saying, “Divya had strong feelings for Priyank but now they have broken up!” Reportedly, their relationship had always been dicey and Divya did have feelings for him but Priyank never really showed much interest. “Vikas Gupta’s news was indeed a huge blow to her and she got a reality check,” added the source. Well, Priyank-Divya’s fans, don’t be disappointed as Divya rubbished the break-up rumours. Bigg Boss 11 Contestant Hina Khan, in a candid chat with the housemates, claimed that South industry prefers only bulging women and confessed that she had been approached for two big projects but she rejected them as they had asked her to gain weight. However, Hina’s demeaning comments about the South Indian film industry and its women did not go down well with the South actresses Hansika Motwani, Khushbu Sundar, among others. So, they took to Twitter to slam Hina Khan for the degrading remarks. Khushbu wrote, “They need lessons from South on how to be dignified… That’s why they remain where they are and our girls zoom past them…🙂🙂,” while Hansika, in a series of tweets, wrote, “What is this suppose to even mean?
