Finally, after a lot of anticipation, Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam’s courtroom drama Haqq has been released. Helmed by Suparn Varma, the movie is inspired by the 1985 Shah Bano case. Ever since the teaser and trailer of the film were launched, it created a stir among fans. After a very long time, Bollywood has given its audience a film that they truly want to dig deeper into.
With a storyline revolving around the beginning of ‘Triple Talaq’ to the historic 2017 Supreme Court verdict declaring the practice of instant triple talaq unconstitutional, Haqq has pulled strings from the past, making the movie intriguing for the audience. As the film has been released, the early reviews have started pouring in.
Film #HAQ is a must watch for all Muslim women. Yami Gautam is at her very best. Director #SupernVerma has done a brilliant job. Emraan Hashmi’s wig is as bad as his acting. Vartika Singh has done very impressive acting. It’s Produced by #SandeepSingh and #VickyJain! Love it. pic.twitter.com/vObQ5QMV8T

India.com reviews Haq as more than just a film about law or religion; it’s a story of human dignity, of a woman’s strength to refuse injustice, and of standing tall even when the world tries to break you.
