​After impressing us with her remarkable acting chops in movie such as ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’ and ‘Fukrey’, Richa Chaddha won us over with her solid performance in Masaan. The girls is fetching attention of film directors and producers from all quarters. The powerful performer that she is has now turned all Punjabi for her upcoming film ‘Sarabjit’. Apparently, the actress is playing a town girl in the film and as her character demands the serene diva has undergone a major makeover. Sarabjit starring Aishwariya Rai Bachchan, Randeep Hooda and Richa Chadha in lead roles is based on the life of Sarabjit Singh- Indian national who was alleged of terrorism and spying by the Pakistani government. Though Randeep would play Sarabjit, Aishwariya playing his sister and Richa his wife have a very strong role to essay. Thereby making it a women-centric film.

​In her first look from the film, Richa is seen donning a Punjabi suit​ with a long plait and all traditional accessories a Sikh woman wears. Richa who play’s Sarabjit’s wife in the film, is all excited about her role.The actress has been putting lot of efforts to get her character requirements checked,​ like​ working on her Punjabi dialect​.​ It will be interesting to see how the diva churns out yet another arresting performance.
