Salman Khan fans had been waiting with bated breath for their favourite superstar’s film, Tubelight to release. However, Tubelight, unlike Salman’s other movies in the past, garnered mixed reviews from the critics since its release yesterday, ie June 23. Critical reviews notwithstanding, the film fraternity has been going gaga over the movie and the actors’ performances. Celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Subhash Ghai, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Dia Mirza, Sophie Choudry were present for the film’s special screening yesterday and were in awe of Kabir Khan’s directorial venture. The makers of the movie are professing that “Tubelight” is perhaps the most extensive release ever for a Hindi film that has released in over 5,550 screens worldwide.  Estimates suggest that it has released on 4,350 screens in India and 1,200 screens in traditional markets only, excluding China and other non-traditional markets.
