Ahead of the release of India cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s biopic MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, the movie is facing a lot of controversies. First the Sushant Singh Rajput starrer MS Dhoni: The Untold Story faced some scrutiny from the MNS for releasing the movie in regional language Marathi apart from the (Hindi) Bollywood version. Now we hear that an Indian cricketer might have a problem with MS Dhoni’s biopic. Yes, Indian batsman Gautam Gambhir has suggested that a biopic on MS Dhoni is not necessary. He has suggested that there are other people who are more deserving than MS Dhoni!

Although everyone is eagerly waiting for the biopic about India’s limited-overs skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Gambhir seems rather not interested in the movie. Gambhir feels that a biopic on cricketer is not that necessary to be made, there are many other people in the country who have served the nation better and they deserve one.

“I don’t believe in biopics on cricketers. I think those people who have contributed more to the country than the cricketers deserve a biopic. There are lots of people in the country who have done so many noble deeds for the nation. Therefore, biopics should be made on their lives.”

Gautam Gambhir took to Twitter to share: These 17 martyrs deserv a biopic rather dan any cricketer. No better inspiration dan a young man sacrificing his life 4 his country. And these Jawans sacrifice their lives for paltry salaries n not disproportionate money & adulation reserved for us cricketers. Wake up. (ALSO READ: M.S.Dhoni The Untold Story dialogue promo: Sushant Singh tells us how Indian cricketer foucsed on his dreams to become world’s most celebrated cricketers)
