The much-awaited war film Ikkis is all set to hit theatres on January 1, and the excitement around it is steadily growing. What makes Ikkis even more special is that it will be the final on-screen appearance of veteran actor Dharmendra, making the film deeply emotional for audiences across generations.

Who is Agastya Nanda playing in Ikkis?

Agastya Nanda plays the role of Param Vir Chakra awardee Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, who laid down his life during the 1971 India-Pakistan war at the age of just 21. The film traces his bravery, courage and sacrifice, making it not just a war drama but a tribute to a real national hero.

According to reports, Agastya was paid around Rs 70 lakh for his role. This marks his second film after The Archies, but Ikkis is his first major theatrical release.

What about Jaideep Ahlawat and Simar Bhatia?

Jaideep Ahlawat, who continues to impress audiences with every performance, also plays a key role in the film. He reportedly charged Rs 50 lakh for his part.

Newcomer Simar Bhatia, Akshay Kumar’s niece, is also making her big-screen debut with Ikkis. According to reports, she was paid around Rs 5 lakh for the role. Despite being new, her performance has already created curiosity among audiences.

Why is Ikkis creating such buzz?

Apart from being a war film based on a true story, Ikkis stands out because it brings together fresh faces, a respected director, and the final screen appearance of an industry legend. With its emotional depth, patriotic theme, and powerful performances, the film is expected to leave a strong impact when it releases on January 1.

For many, Ikkis isn’t just a movie; it’s a tribute, a farewell, and a story of courage that deserves to be told.
