According to the ANI source, the decision to appoint Big B as a brand ambassador will only take place after he is given clean chit in in the matter. The report suggested that in the month of April, decision was to be taken but it stopped after a huge revelation made by Indian Express newspaper on 3 April.

A day after Bachchan’s name appeared in the Panama Papers leak he issued a statement saying that his name was ‘misused’ and he was not aware of any of the companies mentioned in the reports.

The Panama Papers leak is one of the biggest in the history of corporate tax evaders in which a set of 11.5 million confidential documents provided information of around 214,000 offshore companies listed by Panamanian corporate law firm Mossack Fonseca.
The leak included identities of share holders and directors of the companies who had parked their money outside their respective country in safe tax heaven of Panama island.

After the leak Prime Minister Narendra Modi ordered a thorough investigation into the 500 Indian’s named that appeared in leak.
