Priyanka Chopra is all set to team up with SS Rajamouli for the first time in the highly anticipated film SSMB29. Starring Mahesh Babu in the lead, the film is already being expected to be globe-trotting adventure, promising to deliver a never-seen-before spectacle on-screen.

According to reports, PeeCee will be seen playing negative role in this high-octane action drama. Reportedly, the Barfi actress has charged a staggering amount for her role, surpassing other superstars who have been seen as on-screen villains. As per Koimoi, the actress has asked for an astonishing Rs 30 crore as her paycheck for the movie. Well, this makes Priyanka the highest-paid villain yet.

Priyanka Chopra becomes India’s highest-paid villain

Bobby Deol who was seen in a negative role in Animal charged Rs 4-5 crore for his character. While, Sanjay Dutt who created storm with his performance as a villain in KGF 2 and the Tamil film Leo earned Rs 8 to 9 crore. Kamal Hassan who starred as a villain in Prabhas and Deepika Padukone’s Kalki 2898 AD took home Rs 25 crore. While Saif Ali Khan who starred in Indian mythological drama Adipurush charged Rs 10 crore as his fees for the film.

Meanwhile, the extensive shooting of SS Rajamouli’s SSMB29 has already kicked off, with both Priyanka Chopra and Mahesh Babu in full attendance. According to reports, the whole team is likely to be travelling to the forests of Kenya where most of the scenes of the film will be shot. The action-packed film will be released in two parts, first in 2027 and another in 2029, as reported by Pinkvilla.

Priyanka Chopra’s last Indian film was Ramin Bahrani’s The White Tiger, which released on Netflix in 2021. Her last theatrical release was Shonali Bose’s The Sky Is Pink, that released eight years ago. She was supposed to star in Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa, opposite Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif, but the film is yet to go on the floors.
