Actor Anil Kapoor celebrated in his own playful style by sharing a photo enjoying a plate of kiwi fruit. In a cheeky dig at New Zealand, he wrote, "Aaj kiwi thodi zyada hi meethi lag rahi hai (Today, the kiwi tastes a little sweeter than usual)! Congratulations to our Indian team you never fail to make us proud."

Anushka Sharma also congratulated the players through her Instagram Stories. She wrote, "Heartiest congratulations to this brilliant team for this phenomenal victory !! Back-to-back World Cup wins."

How India dominated the T20 World Cup 2026 Final

The final match saw India put on a spectacular display with both bat and ball. Batting first, India posted a massive total of 255 runs, powered by impressive half-centuries from Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan and Sanju Samson.

New Zealand struggled to keep up with the required run rate and were eventually bowled out for 159. Jasprit Bumrah delivered a standout performance with four wickets, while Axar Patel supported the attack with three crucial scalps.

Bumrah was named Player of the Match for his brilliant bowling spell, while Sanju Samson received the Player of the Tournament award after scoring 321 runs in five matches.

Former T20 World Cup-winning captains MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma were also present at the stadium, witnessing India lift the trophy once again and adding another glorious chapter to the nation's cricketing history.
