Indian Idol season 9 started with a bang and within few weeks there are only eight super-talented contestants competing for the title of Indian Idol 9! All the episodes until now have been extremely entertaining with perfect blend of soulful music and useful tips by judges Farah Khan, Sonu Nigam and Anu Malik. In the last episode, contestant Hardeep Singh got eliminated leaving everyone stunned. Today’s episode started on a romantic note as Manya Narang’s husband came on the sets to surprise her on the Valentine’s day and gifted her anklets! This V-day special episode was indeed very special as all the contestants started romantic songs with a romantic shayari.
Baahubali singer LV Revanth won all the hearts with his soulful song ‘Tum Hi Ho’. He cheekily revealed that he has no girlfriend and his latest crush is Indian Idol itself. All the judges appreciated his performance and even called him a tough competition to Arijit Singh. Farah even added that he is just already an Indian Idol, the way he is singing! This is a Valentine’s week, as a result there was love in the air on sets of Indian Idol. The contestants sang the romantic tracks whole-heartedly and there was hardly any scope of criticism with the judges! The Chennai ki beauty Maalavika Sundar sings ‘Ishq Sufiyana’ and also expresses her love for recently eliminated contestant Hardeep Singh! Taljinder Singh impressed the the judges with Arijit Singh’s fame ‘Channaya Mereya’ song from Ranbir Kapoor starrer and Anushka Sharma starrer ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.
Mohit Chopra sang the popular track by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan which is ‘ Main Jahaan Rahoon’ from ‘Namaste London’ film and was accompanied by wonderful chorus by the contestants themselves! Mohit also gets a surprise too as his fiancee comes to meet him and the makers arrange a small ring ceremony for him! All the other contestants were also mind-boggling in their own unique way! Rohit Paritala sang Hariharan’s heartfelt number ‘Tu Hi Re’ and was the best one of today’s episode.
All in all, today’s episode was one of the best episodes with some of the best Bollywood romantic tracks sung by the contestants. So after this wonderful episode, we are impatiently waiting for the next episode! let us know which is your favourite singer from Indian Idol season 9!
