Indian Idol 9 19 March 2017 episode recap: Anushka Sharma thought Revanth should be a hero, contestant wooed her with performances

After March 18 episode where Mohit Chopra was eliminated, we now have the Top 4 finalists of Indian Idol 9 now. Today’s episode saw the always fun Anushka Sharma, who was there to promote her upcoming film ‘Phillauri’. The contestants all sang Anushka Sharma’s songs and she seemed to be entertained throughout the episode. Anushka looked super chic in a blue midi dress and a classic sleek hairdo.

First to perform on today’s show was L.V. Revanth who sang the title track of ‘Ladies vs Ricky Bahl’. He was high on swag as always and Anushka loved the whole performance. Revanth even added his own rap to the song, which made it all the more fun. It was hilarious towards the end when Revanth offered her a heart shaped balloon but the balloon bursted before he could give it to her. Later Revanth asker her to join him on stage and he went down on his knees and sang the title track of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ for her.

Next was Khuda Baksh, who sang ‘Haule Haule’ from Anushka’s debut movie ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’. The crowd was cheering for him loud. All the judges praised him for his incredible performance. Anushka even admitted that she was singing the lyrics along with him. But the surprise element was when his four sisters came in to cheer for him. It was an emotional moment for all the siblings who met their brother after 3 long months. It turned out that his sisters are as good singers as him.

Next in line was Maalvika Sundar who was a surprise package  today. she sang the song ‘Girls like to Swing’ from ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ and earned everyone’s appreciation. Anu Malik even gave her a standing ovation. Farah told her that only she could have sung this song, and we agree with her.

PVNS Rohit sang ‘Tharki Chorko’ from PK and his performance was at par excellence.

The PeNext weekend, one contestant will be eliminated and we will have the Top 3 finalists of Indian Idol 9.
