In today’s time, high-budget films don’t necessarily ensure success at box office. A similar circumstance rose with this mega-budget film that failed terribly, despite featuring three big actors. We are talking about Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon-starrer Ganpath. Made on a whopping budget of Rs 200 crore, the film could only manage Rs 12 crore net in its theatrical run.

The overseas collection of the film was also quite less. It earned just 6% of its production cost, giving hefty 94% overall loss. Audience criticised Ganpath for its incoherent and directionless story.

Moreover, the advance booking of the film speculated that it would go further down. According to Box Office India, Ganpath’s first opening show saw a disastrous start at the box office, expecting that it would hit approximately Rs 4-5 crore. However, with the terrible response, the film earned just Rs 2.5 crore.

Written and directed by Vikas Bahal, Ganpath stars Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon, Amitabh Bachchan, Eli AvrRam and Rashin Rahman. Produced by Jackky Bhagnani, the film was released in 2023.

Talking about film’s storyline, Ganpath, a fearless and skilled vigilante sets out to take down a powerful criminal empire that rules the city with fear. He becomes a symbol of hope for the oppressed in their darkest times.

Following Ganpath, Tiger Shroff’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was also a box office flop. This highly expensive movie failed to attract audience to the theaters. Made on an enormous budget of Rs 150 crore, the film managed to earn just Rs 90 crore.

Tiger Shroff’s other recent films, Heropanti 2 an Munna Michael, also underperformed at the box office.
