Television actress Anita Hassanandani is on a roll. She kickstarted her 36th birthday with a big party with all her friends and of course her hubby Rohit Reddy. She was in Indonesia for an event to promote her serial Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and she was joined by Rohit Reddy and best friends Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya. Husband Rohit took to Instagram to post this wonderful message for wife. He wrote, “To the most inspiring, genuine, kind and humble person i know! Happy Birthday my best friend, my lover, my soulmate, my LIFE!
She is one of the most recognized names in the industry today. She started out with Ekta Kapoor’s Kabhi Sauten Kabhi Sahelii way back in 2001 and then acted in many serials like Kavvyanjali. She also was a part of Krishna Cottage, Kucch Toh Hai and is a multilingual actress. With movies like Nuvvu Nenu (Telugu) to her credit. She met Rohit outside a pub and then fell in love with him after repeated attempts by him. He said in an interview, “One day I saw her outside a pub, waiting for her car and decided to approach her. I went like a hero and approached her with the corniest lines, she was startled. That was a brief encounter.” Coming from a non-filmy background he had no clue that she is not an actress. She said opening up about it, “I refuse to believe he didn’t know I was an actor, maybe he didn’t know my name but I’m sure he’s seen me somewhere.”
But what sealed the deal for her was when he accepted her with all her flaws. Talking about it she once said, “I used to love drinking in my younger days. This one night I went overboard and got into a fight with Rohit. It was all my mistake. Woke up the next day, apologised to him saying ‘I’m sorry Rohit I’ll give up drinking if you want’. He replied saying, ‘No you don’t have to give up on anything for me. Just try staying in control. You are a public figure, you have to be careful,’ – and that was the moment I knew he’s my man! Who loves me for ME; with all the flaws? He didn’t want me to change a thing for him. It’s been 6 years and the only change in me is that I’m a better, a more positive person.
