Mumbai: And you thought Priyanka Chopra was in India to celebrate Holi with the Ambanis! The actor took to social media to reveal the real reason behind her quick visit to the country in March this year. She attended the Holi party hosted by the Ambanis, visited Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir and then participated in Mannara’s birthday celebrations. However, before she left for LA/ New York, our Desi girl also celebrated her brother’s pre-wedding ceremony.

Priyanka on Tuesday took to her Instagram stories to announce the engagement of her brother, Siddharth Chopra, with actor and model Neelam Upadhyay. The internet is now abuzz with several photos and videos from the intimate family affair which saw Priyanka, her husband Nick and their daughter Malti Marie Jonas along with the other family members posing together. For the Roka function at their Mumbai residence, Priyanka wore a red silk saree with a sleeveless blouse while Nick decked up in a Kurta-Pyjama. In other photos posted by Siddharth and Neelam on Instagram, the family is seen sharing other happy moments from the party. One photo even has Neelam adoring Malti as Priyanka and Nick share a hearty laugh.

Siddharth was earlier engaged to Ishita Kumar. Priyanka announced their engagement in February 2019. However, the two called off the engagement and broke up the same year. Interestingly, it seems like Siddharth started dating Neelam in the same year. The first photo in which the two are seen posing together dates back to November 2019 – shared by Neelam on her Instagram.
