On the occasion of International Dance Day 2016 on April 29, Bollywood’s gorgeous dancing diva Madhuri Dixit-Nene has shared a special message on social media. “Dance is an expression of the soul. Happy World dance day,” said Madhuri on Facebook, while hashtagging the page of her online dance school ‘Dance with Madhuri’.
Madhuri Dixit is renowned for her great acting skills as well as exceptional dancing skills, having trained in the Indian dance form of Kathak. Her debut movie Abodh is not that known, as it did not have her dance. Madhuri’s next film Tezaab made her a sensational new star, with her dance in the now famous number Ek Do Teen! It was choreographed by the ace master Saroj Khan and sung memorably by Alka Yagnik to the tune of Laxmikant Pyarelal.
Madhuri’s other famous numbers include the raunchy Dhak Dhak Karne Laga and Humko Aaj Kal Hai Intezaar to the hot Chane Ke Khet Mein and the controversial Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai, to the break dance numbers Tamma Tamma Loge and Ke Sara Sara, the classical Dola Dola Re, and the contemporary Are Re Are and Dance of Envy, to the Aaja Nachle Title Song and Hamari Atariya, to name just a few.
