The Indian household is familiar of the name Dr. Ishita Bhalla from Ye Hai Mohabbatein. Yes, we are talking about Divyanka Tripathi who shot to fame with Banoo Main Teri Dulhann and continued doing other soap opera. The 32-year-old television actress has come forward and spoken on how women should be independent and also how they must continue to work even after marriage. Her message is true and an inspirational. There are many girls who look up to her. Divyanka who tied the knot last year with Vivek Dahiya, continued doing her TV show. The actress has spoken about many aspects to a leading daily on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2017.
In an interview with DNA Vivek Dahiya’s wife Divyanka Tripathi said, “Women should not restrict themselves to be nurturers. We can cook and take care of the family, but every woman should believe she is capable of surviving independently. Women should not stop working or learning new things after marriage. She should make it clear to her husband that she will pursue her career. A man and woman are equal in a partnership. She has all the right to pursue her dream, profession and explore new opportunities. In fact, even the in-laws need to treat their bahu as their daughter and support her.”
Divyanka Tripathi’s message is empowering. There are many ladies who are not allowed to work after marriage. Our country talks about being progressive, but when it comes to a woman being independent, that is something which has always been looked upon. Time has come when women should stand up for themselves and make their own path and walk ahead strongly. Talking about wage disparity in television industry the report further quoted Divyanka Tripathi saying, “TV is a woman’s medium, and if there is a disparity, it is because of ignorance.
