It’s March 8th and the world is celebrating International Women’s Day. Since past some years, the day is gaining all the right kind of attention and importance, and why not, it’s high time that we start giving women the respect that they deserve. The change is also evident in Bollywood and we have seen some brilliant films that highlight the strength of women. Films like Neerja, Akira, NH10, Mary Kom, Kahaani, Piku are just some of the many amazing examples that showed women in a totally different light. We can see that filmmakers and actors are now very much particular about these issues related to women and they make sure that they are put forth on the silver screen. But our celebs are not only talking about women related issues on reel! They are also using their social media pages as platforms to talk about women empowerment. On International Women’s Day today, tinsel town stars are celebrating womanhood by posting some heartening and inspiring messages. Shah Rukh Khan recently posted a wonderful message and a picture on Twitter that said, “Hold her hand so that she can lead you. Happy Women’s Day.” Also, Shivaay actor Ajay Devgn posted, “Let’s celebrate everyday as #womensday, so we never need only one day!”. How thoughtful! Sushant Singh Rajput also tweeted, “Everything in me I could be proud of, I’ve learned it from my mother and sisters. Sunny Leone also took to Twitter to express her feelings on the day and we completely agree with her! She tweeted, ” Weird……I thought Everyday was WOMEN’S DAY 😜 xoxoxo……… Happy Women’s “Every”day !!!!” Kaabil star Yami Gautam also spoke up saying, “The struggle for a woman’s rights cannot be a one-day fight. #BeBoldForChange #WomensDay.” Well, all the celebs are celebrating the day and sharing their own interpretation and it’s lovely to see these stars standing up for the women in the country.
