Irrfan Khan was one of the finest actors in the Bollywood industry. Sadly, Khan passed away in 2020 due to cancer. After his demise, the entire nation grieved his loss. Though the actor is not with us today, his legacy through his movies is kept alive. Irrfan is survived by his wife, Sutapa Sikdar, and sons, Babil Khan and Ayaan. As of today (April 29, 2024), the entire nation remembers one of the versatile Bollywood actorslet’s go back to the time when during an interview, Irrfan revealed how he wished to live more for his wife. 

Irrfan’s Statement For His Son

During an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Khan revealed some of the positive things to come out of his cancer treatment. Mentioning his sons, Babil and Ayaan, Irrfan said, “The best part is that I’ve had all the time literally to see them evolve. The actor talked fondly of his younger son, who was in his teens. He said that the older son is grown up and is no more a teenager. 

Irrfan’s Love for His Wife Sutapa Sikdar 

Irrfan and Sutapa tied the knot in 1995. The couple’s love was pretty evident as they often photos online. During the interview, Irrfan said, “It’s been a roller-coaster ride, a memorable one. Happy moments were underlined because of the inherent uncertainty.” The actor said that over the years, they shared tears and laughter together and came closer as a family. 

Irrfan Khan’s Career 

Irrfan made his debut with Salaam Bombay. Some of his most popular films include Maqbool, The Lunchbox, Piku, Haider, Hindi Medium, Slumdog Millionaire, Life of Pi, and many more. In 2011, Irrfan was conferred with the prestigious Padma Shri.
