Actor Irrfan Khan‘s wife, Sutapa Sikdar, who has been waiting for her son – Babil to return from London amid the coronavirus outbreak took a sigh of relief on Thursday. She had urged the Indian government to think about the Indian students stuck in London and fly them back home in a Facebook post written a few days back. Babil finally returned to the country on Thursday and was taken directly to the family’s Madh island residence where he has been kept under self-quarantine for 14 days. Sutapa talked to Mid-Day in her latest interview and expressed just how relieved she is to see her son back amid the lockdown. A source close to Irrfan told the daily that Babil’s flight was late by over an hour and now that he is back, the family is taking all the necessary precautions. Sutapa revealed that it was on Wednesday that they were informed about Babil flying back to India and they decided to put him on self-quarantine as soon as he came back. She was quoted saying, “Thank God Babil has returned safely! (When in London), he was anxious but put on a brave front because he knew that I would be stressed otherwise. For now, we have kept him in home quarantine for 14 days. Earlier, in her post mentioning the government of India, Sutapa highlighted the concerns of the Indian students studying abroad. He Facebook read, “As a mother, I am worried as hell, but I don’t understand when the Indian government has been so good with other students, why (is) it not helping Indian students stuck in London? Meanwhile, actor-singer Suchitra Krishnamoorthy’s daughter Kaveri was also found stuck in the US for six days until she returned home on Thursday. Boney Kapoor’s daughter Khushi Kapoor also came back a few days back.
