Ishq Vishk Again: Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao’s 2003 Film to Get a Sequel- Read Details
Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Singh's 2003 rom-com film 'Ishq Vishk' to get a sequel.
As the trend of sequels in Bollywood is increasing, there is one more joining in and it’s none other than, our favourite – Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Singh’s 2003 romantic-comedy film Ishq Vishk. Can’t believe us? The producer of the film, Ramesh Taurani, has confirmed the same. The production house, Tips Industries, which backed the film Race 3 last year, will revive Ishq Vishk with all new faces in the lead.
As per the reports in Mumbai Mirror, producer Ramesh Taurani has confirmed that a sequel to Ishq Vishk is underway as he said, “Yes, we are making a sequel to Ishq Vishk. The story is in the scripting stage and could be about a teenage romance. Hopefully, in the next two-three months, we will lock the script and start looking for the director and cast.”
Directed by Ken Ghosh, Ishq Vishk was Shahid Kapoor’s debut film. It became a success and launched both Shahid and Amrita Rao’s career. Shahid and Amrita went on to be paired again in Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi!, Shikhar and Vivah.
The film’s budget was 50 Million and the box office collection garnered approximately 122.63 million. Ishq Vishk also stars Shenaz Treasury, Yash Tonk, Satish Shah, Vishal Malhotra and Neelima Azeem in supporting characters.
Ishq Vishk revolved around the love story of Rajeev and Payal, who fought earlier because Payal was not Rajeev’s type of girl. Later, Rajeev realised and they were together.
