Surbhi Chandna, who shot to fame with her popular character Anika in the much-celebrated Star Plus’ Ishqbaaaz, has garnered popularity for her unique style of acting and has humongous fan followers for her on-screen presence on the show alongside Nakuul Mehta.
Surbhi, in an interview with an online entertainment portal, once said that initially she was not accepted by the audience as they felt Surbhi isn’t a heroine material, but now the actress feels content as the criticism has changed to appreciation. She told the portal, “Today when I see those comments change into appreciation, with the kind of acting or looks, or every outfit that I carry, it feels like I have achieved something. Of course, there is a lot to achieve but I have achieved little. I feel great about it.”
Recently, one of the founders of Ishqbaaz’s production house shared an old picture of the actress clicked for the initial look tests for the show. He took to Instagram to post a throwback picture and captioned it as, “Will you kill me for posting this @officialsurbhic? This was taken during one of the initial look tests for Ishqbaaaz.”
Responding to his post, Surbhi wrote, “Never ever.. just can’t thank you enough since this brings back memories of the beginning of this beautiful journey.. jaw line laajawaab hai meri.. uske baad toh GUL MUMMA asked me to put on weight and I converted to a hippo.”
Well, the actress was way thin back then and now she has put on some weight as Gul Khan had asked her to. But who cares, Surbhi still looks her best and fans love her for what she is. It doesn’t matter whether she is plump or lean, does it?
On the personal front, the actress is rumoured to be dating someone in real life. While she has been winning hearts for her amazing chemistry with Shivayy (character essayed by Nakuul) on the small screen and their silly but cute nok jhoks, the actress is reportedly in love with a heartthrob named Karan Sharma; they are in a long distance relationship. Going by the pictures of the two on social media, the two seem to be totally in love with each other.
