In Ishqbaaz 07 February 2017, Shivaay asks Tej why he is getting engaged to Svetlana. He tells Shivaay that he is not answerable to him. Tej’s maa asks Tej if he would answer his mother. Tej tells her that his marriage with Janvi is meaningless. He will divorce Janvi and will soon marry Svetlana and no one can stop him. Rudra gets tensed and he asks Shivaay to talk to Tej, but he stays mum. Soon, Svetlana is seen coming down the stairs. She looks stunning in black and white saree. Every one stares her as she walks down. Tej tells Svetlana that he is so happy that they are getting engaged. Svetlana starts walking towards him, but she crosses Tej and holds the hand of the man standing behind Tej. Tej gets surprised as he sees it is Om. Svetlana is going to get engaged to Om. Everyone in the family is surprised. Svetlana asks him where he was. Om tells Svetlana that he had gone to find a ring for her as it needs to be beautiful like her. Om opens the box and slides the ring in Svetlana’s finger. Svetlana also exchanges the ring with him. Om asks everyone that why they aren’t congratulating them. Tej tells Om that he has gone crazy. Om asks him to not to interfere in his life. Tej shouts on Svetlana and Om tells him to mind his tone as he is talking to his fiancé. Om holds Svetlana’s hand and they leave.
Later, Shivaay’s father talks to his mother. They are worried about Om’s decision and Janvi’s condition. On the other hand, everyone is worried. Rudra asks Shivaay to stop Om, but Shivaay tells him that he cannot do anything as he is already engaged to Svetlana. Anika also tries to tell him to talk to Om, but Shivaay denies. Later, Anika wants to talk to Shivaay. Shivaay is busy looking for his file. Anika asks him if he is fine as he is reacting strange. Anika tells him that he knows how Svetlana is, but Shivaay tells him that it’s Om’s decision. Om took this decision for his mother. Shivaay understands that Om took the wrong decision for the betterment of their family. He sacrificed for his family. Anika tells Shivaay that Om’s decision won’t last long. Shivaay asks Anika that why she married him? Shivaay tells her that she got married to him to save her brother’s life. He reminds Anika that she also sacrificed for her family. Anika tells Shivaay that whenever she thinks that she has started understanding him, he does something that leaves Anika confused. Shivaay tells her that nothing is important to him than his family. After a while, Om and Svetlana are seen talking to each other. Svetlana tells him that she has been planning to marry Tej since long and now, when she was going to get married to him, and then he jumped in. Om asks Svetlana to demand what she wants. She asks for 100 crore. Svetlana tells Om that her main purpose was to disturb the family and she is successful. Om grabs her from her arm and tells her that he got engaged to her so that he can keep her away from his mother and father. Omkara tells her that she will get her money and he leaves. Svetlana’s phone rings, Tia congratulates her as her plan is successful and she tells her that now she is going to give another shock to the family. Tia approaches Shivaay with some papers in her hand. Tia tells Shivaay that her mother is not sure if he will take the baby’s responsibility. She asks him to transfer 100 crore for the baby’s secured future. Tia’s phone rings and it is Mrs. Kapoor. She talks to Shivaay and warns him to transfer 100 crores.
