Star Plus show Ishqbaaz is going through an interesting patch currently. The TRP ratings of the show has boosted soon after Shivaay got married to Anika amid a lot of drama. As a revenge against Anika for eloping his bride on the day of wedding, Shivaay forces Anika to marry him. His image was at stake and he wanted Anika to pay a price for the blunder she did. Shivaay was supposed to marry Tia, but Tia didn’t arrive for the wedding and instead hired a girl to marry Shivaay under some contract. And Anika, the wedding organizer, helped the poor girl get away from the mess and unfortunately she had to pay a huge price for the same.
The Oberoi family is shocked to see that its Anika and not Tia who married Shivaay. They think that it was a part of Anika’s plan and she purposely took place of Shivaay’s bride. However, Shivaay reveals to his family that he was aware about the switch and he is equally responsible for this mistake too. Shivaay had actually blackmailed Anika to marry him by using her young brother Saahil’s name. Shivaay had married Anika for a day so that he can divorce her and marry Tia. Dadi had always wanted Shivaay and Anika to marry but the circumstances under which they married was not acceptable. But Shivaay doesn’t have any feelings for Anika and promises to carry out the divorce proceedings at the earliest. Meanwhile, Tia is back at home and is trying to win Shivaay’s heart as a part of the business deal. Shivaay, the business-minded guy, is only thinking about the family and their prestige. Tia tried to control the situation by faking her kidnapping drama in front of the Oberoi family. Shivaay thinks that he was responsible for her situation and rescues Tia from the kidnapper.
Since, his marriage to Anika was a deal, he asks her to stay in a different room while he can enjoy with Tia. Shivaay is anyway going to marry Tia once he has divorced Anika. But he choses to enjoy his suhaag-raat with Tia even before the divorce could happen. Dadi doesn’t like Shivaay’s approach and decides to stop him. While Tia and Shivaay get closer and share a few intimate moments together, they get interrupted by Dadi. She asks Shivaay to not cross the lines before he gets officially married to Tia. Tia feels upset that her plans are ruined because of Dadi. She is shown the door to the guest room and is asked to stay away from Shivaay until he is officially divorced. Now Anika is Shivaay’s legally wedded wife and she has the right to stay in his room and not Tia. Anika is forced to spend the night with Shivaay much to her discomfort.
